Twisted Tulip Wedding, Machesney Park, IL | Cassandra & Scott


Cassandra and Scott were married at The Twisted Tulip on a beautiful, sunny day. Perfect weather for outdoor shooting, with their ceremony set under a geometric wooden arch and the reception inside the venue's rustic barn, complete with exposed brick, hanging greenery chandeliers, and string lights. Bright, clear skies make for gorgeous light, but they can also be tricky to shoot in without good shade, and The Twisted Tulip's barn wood exterior gave us exactly that: a beautifully textured, shaded backdrop for portraits all afternoon. Overall, the day was perfect and we had a blast working with Cassandra, Scott and their amazing wedding party.
