The Mora Farm, Rustic Barn Wedding, Quinn + Jerrod, Waterman, IL

It was truly an amazing day on the Mora Farm in Waterman, Illinois. Jerrod and Quinn are two heart-warming individuals and they had a remarkable rustic barn inspired wedding day. Everything about their wedding was just perfect and we were honored to have been there to capture these moments.

  • Best memory from your wedding day?

    • Quinn: My best memory from our wedding day were the few minutes after our ceremony that Jerrod and I got to spend together by ourselves We were so overjoyed, excited, emotional, and ready to start our life as husband and wife.

    • Jerrod: My favorite moment was when Quinn and I were able to walk along the side of the field and under the willow.. just talking and enjoying the moment before going into the barn and having the best wedding day EVER! There are so many memories that compete with each other that I could choose multiple!

  • Where did you go on honeymoon? What were are you most excited about?

    • Quinn: We spent our honeymoon in North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We were most excited about hiking in the mountains, but visiting Vortex Doughnuts in Asheville (that we had wanted to go to for quite some time) definitely was almost as exciting!!

    • Jerrod: We took a fantastic road trip through five states, but spent most of our times at the peak of a mountain with a wonderful view and some super fun waterfalls! Did some great hiking and just really relaxed, especially thanks to Hurricane Patricia's left over rain. Didn't bother us any - we hiked in that too!

  • What advice do you have for future brides and grooms?

    • Quinn: My best advice is to keep living your life while you are engaged. Don't let wedding planning take control. Still go on date nights, take a week off of planning if you just need a break, find time to spend together and go outside or go on an adventure that is spontaneous and fun. This is supposed to be an exciting time in your lives so keep it that way. Don't let the anxiety of planning "the most perfect day" overwhelm you. Have fun with it and just go with the flow because it will all work out just the way you want it too!

    • Jerrod: Have fun! Stress comes with the territory but remember it's LOVE that brought you to this point. Just go with the flow and enjoy it.
